The primary challenge was creating an intuitive and visually consistent interface for a complex cryptocurrency wallet that works seamlessly across two major operating systems—macOS and Windows. The design needed to handle 10,000+ active users with varying technical expertise while maintaining security best practices and clear information hierarchy. Requirements included developing three distinct color themes to accommodate user preferences, designing 50+ unique screens with multiple interactive states, and creating custom icon animations and branded preloaders that enhance usability without compromising performance or clarity. All design elements needed to follow platform-specific conventions while maintaining a cohesive brand identity.
Solution
I developed a comprehensive design system starting with detailed wireframes and mockups that formed the foundation for all UI elements. Created a complete UI Kit with reusable components, color palettes, and typography systems supporting three distinct themes. Designed 50+ screens covering all wallet functionalities including portfolio overview, transaction history, send and receive flows, settings, and security features, with multiple states for each screen to handle loading, error, and success scenarios. Implemented custom icon animations using Adobe Animate to guide user interactions and provide visual feedback throughout the application. Developed branded preloaders and transition animations that reinforced the product identity while maintaining performance across both macOS and Windows platforms. Delivered a detailed design specification document ensuring consistent implementation across both operating systems and providing developers with clear guidelines for animation timing and interactive states.
